Jó is a PhD Student and Research Assistant at the "Distributed Systems Group" at the RWTH Aachen University. He joined the group in April 2007 after having finished his Diploma in Bioinformatics at the University of Tübingen in 2006 and then spending 6 months in Manila, where he among other things held a seminar on Bioinformatics for Microbiologists. His research focus in the distributed systems area lies in Wireless Sensor Networks and Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networking. He is currently working on the RatPack project, in which sensor nodes are used for the observation of rats in their natural habitats. Jó began his studies of Computer Science and Bioinformatics at the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen (Germany) in 2001 and graduated as a Diplom-Informatiker (Bioinformatik) (MSc equivalent) in 2006. During this time he also held several student research assistant positions, one among them at the Max-Planck-Institute for Developmental Biology.
