Short CV

Since 2004, Simon is a PhD Student and Junior Researcher at the “Distributed Systems Group” at the RWTH Aachen. In May 2006 this group moved from Tübingen to Aachen, where it was renamed from "Protocol Engineering and Distributed Systems" to its new name. His research focus in the distributed systems area lies on Distributed Hash Tables and peer-to-peer systems, in the protocol engineering in developing tools for protocol and systems development. Simon began his studies in Computer Science at the Free University of Berlin (Germany) in 1999 and graduated as a Diplom-Informatiker (MsC equiv.) in 2004. From October 2002 to March 2004 he was a student research assistant in the Computer Science Research group of Prof. Reinefeld at the Zuse Institute Berlin, Germany.
