DS Lab Contributes to Open Source Project

The DS-Group's Linux Kernel Lab provides a significant contribution to the CEPH storage project.

As participants in last semester's Linux Kernel Lab, Volker Assmann and Dongsu Park got involved in the CEPH distributed storage open source project. CEPH's innovative distribution approach allows to scale distributed storage to petabytes of capacity without a single centralized infrastructure. The result of Volker's and Dongsu's contribution is a major step for the completeness and stability of CEPH's Linux kernel module.
